The Merlot grapes are especially rich this year, having ripened to perfection with low acidity, and thick skins, while the Cabernets can be compared to the spectacular 2005 vintage. This translates to a well-colored juce with an excellent concentration of fruity flavors.

Exceptionally, good weather conditions made 2009, a vintage to remember. Long house of sunshine and the warm temperatures of July and August continued well into September; hot days punctuated by cool nights provided textbook conditions both for the growing vine and the ripening grapes.
